Hello, this is a blog for all my sketches, doodles, and anything else put on paper by me. Please feel free to comment/critique, there's no such thing as a mean comment so long as it's constructive and helps me improve.
Well, my cat knocked by tablet pen off the table into a cup of water I had laying on the ground. Not very pleased, and now it's going to be strictly hand-made work for the next couple of weeks. It's criminal that Wacom pens are $45 at least!
My friend owns a hat that makes me think of soap-suds.

My friend Karel (a.k.a. Charlie) from Iceland asked me to make a caricature of him.
This is the final one (above) done completely in gouache.
This was the first attempt, it made all my friends laugh (very important) but I didn't think I got the likeness just right. This also had a variety of media, it was markers, watercolor, ink, color pencil, and a teensy-weensy bit of white acrylic.
I went to Sakura-Con 2011, a big anime festival. The Seattle convention center has an enormous lobby that doesn't have any exibits so a friend and I were able to look around without actually having to pay.
I'll have more drawings of the people I saw posted later.
Oh boy, oh boy!!I got my first creative gig. The publishers finally put the video up on YouTube so I think I'm free to talk about it without consequence.
So all the images were done by me, and it was animated by another individual named Brady Hall. He also did some work to the images provided. It was fun, all the illustrations were completed in about a weeks time. There are only two things that i don't like about it: the way I drew Julianna's big smiles creeps me out, and the other thing is that the backgrounds required the most work, and you don't see all of it. So to correct that I have all the backgrounds provided below.
The barn and the city are by far my favorites. These had the most work put into them, it shows obviously.
The dress-shop (above) is my least favorite. It was hard to find any kind of reference for a dress shop in the early 1800's.
The large fireplace is the one you see the least of, I like this one a lot too.
I haven't used photoshop that much before this, and now I've gotten a lot better and am trying harder to figure out how it works. If you have any good book recommendations or blogs, etc on photoshop painting please let me know! Also if you like books with lots of kissing in them, pick up a copy of "Eleven Scandals..." you won't regret it I'm sure.
